Liverpool Bienniale

Have been rather busy so the blogs have slipped. Shame on me! As I said earlier went to Liverpool for the above. Only managed Tate, Cunard Building, One Eye and the Walker Gallery. The John Moores painting competition was the main interest and my favourites were

Waiting Room  Jarik Jongman

Waiting Room

and

Collapse into Abstract (Black)

Collapse into Abstract (Black)  Cullinin Richards

I guess these appeal to my antedeluvian tastes.

The public poll of favourites was a fairly wide spread and didn’t really coincide with the judges decisions. There was something for all tastes!

Liverpool has changed a great deal since my last visit. Wonderful buildings smothered in history and good eating -we tried Puschka -v. good.
